USING YOUR IMAGINATION IN INDIVIDUATION

People can solve many problems by thinking logically or making choices based on their feelings or preferences. But sometimes, when problems seem impossible to solve, people can use their imagination to find solutions. The process of individuation, where different parts of a person's personality come together while staying true to themselves, needs imagination. Jungians use various imagination techniques to help people understand, accept, and bring together parts of themselves that they might not be aware of. These techniques include Dreamwork, Creative Depth Art Making, Sandbox, and Active Imagination. Dreamwork involves writing down and exploring dreams. Creative Depth Art Making includes activities like making collages or keeping art journals. Active Imagination is a way to communicate with the images that come up in dreams or art. I host a Free Online Dream Group the Third Sunday of each month where we discuss a topic in Jungian Psychology and tend a dream!
